Health coaching is a partnership between a provider and a client that supports the process of making lasting lifestyle changes. It uses the science of behavioral change and positive psychology, empowering the client to find the motivation within themselves to make the necessary changes for improved health and wellness. As licensed health care providers with training in clinical nutrition and lifestyle medicine, Dr. Riggs and Dr. Spencer are both an allies and an educators. They attends to patient’s individual needs in a non-judgmental way and listen with empathy and compassion. Dr. Riggs and Dr. Spencer will encourage and challenge patients, as well as hold them accountable for the commitments made in a way that is comfortable for each individual.
Health coaching utilizes each patient’s greatest character strengths, personal hopes, and dreams to create manageable goals for their health. We will celebrate successes together and look for ways to overcome challenges.
